===Installation tips==

 To install:

1. Click on the exe file, which will self-extract to C:\Hplex_temp\Program Files\Hplex
   Follow guided installation procedure.

2. A default installation procedure is suggested.
   If the default installation procedure was chosen, installation
   folders will be, respectively:
   "C:\Program Files\Hplex\DVD-A author"
   "C:\Program Files\Hplex\Lplex"
   "C:\Program Files\Hplex\ssrc-1.30"

   If this default procedure is not chosen, folders 
   DVD-A author, Lplex and ssrc-1.30 must be moved from the temporary folder
   that opens in the installation procedure to other paths. Otherwise, these folders
   will be erased at the end of the installation procedure.

   The filepaths indicated for DVD-A author, Lplex and ssrc-1.30 folders
   in the course of the guided installation procedure should be the final 
   installation filepaths.

   Previously user-installed DVD-A author, Lplex and ssrc-1.30 folders
   can be used as an alternative, with their own possibly different names.
   In this case copy Hplex\Lplex\Lplex2.ini to owned Lplex folder and 
   replace your own version of cygwin1.dll by Hplex\bin\cygwin1.dll in 
   previously installed DVD-A author, Lplex\bin and ssrc-1.30 folders.

==First use==

First install and configure. Then:

1. Put audio data into a folder titled mirror\g1

2. Drag-and-drop it to icon "Hplex launcher" (or "Lanceur Hplex" for 
   French  versions)

3. If burning is selected by default the output is a mirror (hybrid) DVD
   Otherwise, the ISO image of the hybrid DVD is to be found in
   Hplex\bat

in Hplex\data\readme

==Hplex input/output locations==

All non-audio output of Hplex, save the log in Hplex\data, is located in
Hplex\bat. These files are automatically erased on running Hplex again.

Original, resampled and DVD-extracted wav files are located in folders 
specified at configuration stage, as well as the output DVD filestructure.
These files are erased on running Hplex again.

Input files are either drag-and-dropped to Hplex launcher icon or put into
one (or several) input folders specified on configuring Hplex.

Hplex folder is installed in C:\Program Files\Hplex
Original location is erased. 

==Troubleshooting/Installing again==

Should installation fail:

-erase all files and folders created by failed installation
-move Lplex, DVD-A author and ssrc-1.30 to Hplex folder again
 if moved out of Hplex folder previously
-erase Hplex\data\Hplex.ini and defaults.txt
-erase Hplex\Lplex\Lplex.ini (preserve Lplex2.ini)
-copy cygwin1.dll to relevant folders as indicated above
-copy icons to desktop 
my documents\my images)
-execute cmd (command-line window) and type:
>  cd "fullpathtoHplexfolder"
>  cd data
>  set datapath=%CD%;%path%
>  call config.bat

==Disclaimer==

Installation was only tested on French language Windows XP systems.
An automated language selection test is provided for at onset of configuration
procedure.
